Our Story
Corinth Baptist Church was established in the 1800’s. It has been through some hard
times and times where God's light has shined the brightest. We are very thankful for the
men and women who stood faithful to Corinth. We pray that Corinth will be a beacon
and pillar of this community for many years to come.
Our Mission
“Meeting people where they are, reaching them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and
disciplining them to make Christ known.”
We long to reach the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We, as a church
desire love God and people and disciple them to make Christ known in their life.
We strive to minister to all ages, through Sunday School and other outreach
opportunities. We would love for you and your family to visit with us soon and see what
Corinth is all about.
Our Beliefs
God
The Bible teaches that there is one true God. He exists in three parts, God the Father, God the Son and The Holy Spirt.

Isaiah 45:21; Deut 6:4; 1 Kings 8:60
Salvation
The Bible teaches that salvation is as simple as admitting that you have sinned. Sin is anything that separates you from a Holy God. Believing that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. Lastly, confess that Jesus Christ is Lord over everything. Making him boss of your life.
—
John 3:16; Eph 2:8-9; Acts 16:31
Jesus
The Bible teaches that Jesus is God's Son. Born of a virgin to Mary. Jesus came
to this earth, to take on the sins of the world. He did that by his death on the cross and resurrecting on the third day. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
—
Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; Romans 1:4
Baptism
The Bible teaches that Baptism is a powerful display of obedience.
Symbolizing the believer's death to sin and being raised in new life. Baptism does not get to into heaven, it is primarily following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and proclaiming Jesus to the world.
—
Matthew 28:19
The Trinity
The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirt dwells in the heart of a believer. The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit's job is to convict a person of their sin so that they can repent and turn to a God who loves and forgives.

1 Peter 1:2; Matt 3:16-17
Discipleship
The Bible teaches that discipleship is following Jesus, denying ourselves daily and taking up our cross to follow Him. True discipleship involves reading God’s word, living out a lifestyle that reflects Jesus Christ and actively sharing Jesus.

Luke 9:23; John 8:31-32; John 13:34-35; Matthew 28:19-20
